    The contact person for St. Thomas owners is Maria Gonalez, the 800 number that is on the voice mail is the 800 number for the title dept. The owners must call 800-251-8736 dept. 2 and then 3 and ask for Maria Gonzalez.

  • Recording your own deed ? Assuming you have the deed from Bluebeard's or whatever entity sold you the unit, you take the deed together with the Revenue Certificate form obtained from the Revenue Department downtown which indicates that no taxes are due and all taxes have been paid to date. Then you go to the Registry of Deeds on the Gov't Hill to the Recorder's office. Check the registry book that the deed for the unit you bought has no liens against it. ( If you have a problem, there is a nice person there that will help you) Then you fill out a form, give them the deed and revenue certificate, pay the recording fee, the revenue stamps and deed ( approx $35) and LEAVE the documents with the recorder's office for them to record which can take up to 2 months (I'm not kidding) Eventually, you will get the deed in the mail. Really its easy but be patient. Those people work on "Island Time" but are really very nice if you have any questions.
